Sure, the PalmPilot's great for keeping track of appointments and such, but you can't scan for tachyon emissions with it... until now! A simple touch of the scroll button lets you survey a wide variety of geological, meteorological, and biological phenomenon. Version II adds more sound, more animation, more displays, customizable messages, plus support for Tech Center Labs' Tale Light! Don't leave the Alpha Quadrant without it! This latest version of Tricorder is, of course, freeware--you can install it and use it with absolutely no obligation to pay anything. Nonetheless, some people have written saying I should've made it shareware. So, if you'd really like to show your support, I suggest a donation of whatever size you like to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where they're working right now to make sure that a cancer-free world doesn't remain science-fiction. You can do the whole thing online with a credit card. If you'd like, you can even make the donation in honor of "Tricorder". Check out the readme file that comes with the current Tricorder package for more info. If you're interested, the first version of Tricorder is still availabe for the Mac or PC. Not nearly as much fun, but only 9k in size! ![]() Here's what people are saying about Tricorder...
